Female Journalists Club
This program includes approximately 900 Palestinian female journalists in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, aiming to be a platform and incubator for them wherever they are. The Female Journalists Club strives to defend the rights and issues of Palestinian female journalists, providing them with an outlet to express their concerns and aspirations. It also provides a station for acquiring new media skills and experiences, enhancing their professional abilities without partisanship or fanaticism.
The club aims to enhance cooperation and integration among female journalists and raise their awareness of their rights. It adopts its professional issues by creating a media movement about these issues through the “Female Journalists Club Dialogues,” which raises issues of public concern (political, social, and human rights), and hosts experts and activists from various sectors. The discussions are bold and open discussions, aiming to generate recommendations that contribute to solving the challenges faced by female journalists in particular, and the journalistic community as a whole.
Every year, the club presents a productive training project targeting young female journalists, starting with the "Filastiniyat" television program, followed by its radio counterpart, and leading up to investigative reporting. This aims to present a different model of women’s media, discussing and analyzing all issues of public interest, not just women’s issues. It also provides an effective model for capacity building, starting with theoretical training, followed by individual mentorship and training, leading to the production of original and paid journalistic materials.
As part of the club’s activities, a debate team for female journalists was formed through partnerships with various civil society institutions, journalistic groups, and women’s institutions. This has become a cornerstone of the Female Journalists Club, and a space for questioning and dialogue about controversial or overlooked issues.
